The new POP Desk combines this popular, great-sounding handset with a nicely weighted stand for a piece that fits perfectly on any desk, kitchen counter, or nightstand without consuming too much real estate. Made of durable steel with rubber feet, this stand carries enough weight that you can be sure it won’t fly off the counter if you venture too far. The POP Phone receiver connects to the stand via a standard 3.5mm headphone-style jack, meaning you can unplug it and connect it directly to your phone for those meander-around-the-house conversations. Or, connect it to your tablet or computer for use during any Google Hangout, Skype, or any other VoIP conversation.xl_gallery_popdesk_off

Small grooves at either end of the phone platform secure the headphone jack that connects to your phone, so you can connect to your phone via the top or the bottom, depending on the location of your phone’s headphone input. Slide your phone’s charging cable through the back of the thin slot near the base of the platform instead of snaking it around your desk. The small button on the inside of the headset makes for easy one-handed answering and hanging up, though if your phone is locked, you’ll also need to swipe the unlock bar. The stand places your phone at a convenient angle, making it easy to spot incoming calls and swipe to unlock your phone.

The POP Phone takes its design inspiration from traditional phone handsets, which have been around consistently since the early 1920s. An everyday device design with that much staying power (nearly 100 years!) must be doing something right.xl_gallery_popdesk_off
