Blackpool Rock – with a Difference

When you think about Blackpool you tend to think of a seaside town with all of the traditions: a nice beach, sticks of rock, a few donkeys, ice cream and deckchairs, the pleasure beach and – of course – the famous tower but there is far more to Blackpool than you think (and no, I’m not referring to chip shops or bingo!)bpIn fact the largest indoor music festival in the North West returns to the town this December, with the Winter Gardens playing host to the 2013 edition of Blackpool Rocks on 21st December. Some of the biggest names in the music industry will be playing live! The festival will include acts such as The 1975 and Disclosure, as well as rapper Wretch 32 and some of the nation’s top DJs including Pete Tong and Radio One’s Danny Howard and, thanks to Wow247, you can be at the famous location to see it all live.

The online events guide is running a competition until 13th December that will get you in amongst the estimated 8,000-strong audience for the biggest show in the North West this winter – with a twist. You won’t just be stood at the venue amongst all of the other fans; you’ll be getting the full VIP treatment making for the perfect night out before your Christmas and New Year festivities to get you fully into the party spirit.

The VIP passes will get you a champagne reception upon your arrival at the venue, with doors opening at 8pm, followed by access to the exclusive VIP platinum lounge with complimentary drinks available all night while you’re taking a break from listening to this year’s acts.

With four arenas you’ve got a choice of rooms to watch your favourite acts, with the Disclosure set taking place in the Dance Arena; The 1975 and Little Comets playing the Live Arena; Wretch 32 and Trevor Nelson in the Urban Arena and a number of up and coming acts in the Randy Ron Pavilion.

Tickets for the event are still available to buy from the Winter Gardens ticket office, priced at £26.50.
